Probe for Multimeter Circuit Diagram

This is the RF Probe for Multimeter Circuit Diagram. To measure the RF voltage in a circuit to convert the signal unless they RF voltmeter. This conversion may be done with a very simple circuit, called a point or RF probe. A tip for RF Multimeter has to be made in a metal box with two connectors, one that receives the RF signal and another that goes to the multimeter.  In the case of this circuit the signal passes through two connectors between them and the RF signal is picked up.This signal passes through a 18 pF capacitor, a diode germanium, a resistor of 47 kOhm, and a bypass capacitor 33 nF. The anode of the diode is connected to the positive lead of the voltmeter and the other to ground. RF Probe for Multimeter Circuit Diagram

Voltage Tester for Model Batteries

With a suitable load, the terminal voltage of a NiCd or lithium-ion battery is proportional to the amount of stored energy. This relationship, which is linear over a wide range, can be used to build a simple battery capacity meter. Circuit Image :   Voltage Tester for Model Batteries Circuit Image  This model battery tester has two functions: it provides a load for the battery, and at the same time it measures the terminal voltage. In addition, both functions can be switched on or off via a model remote-control receiver, to avoid draining the battery when it is not necessary to make a measurement. The load network, which consists of a BC517 Darlington transistor (T2) and load resistor R11 (15 Ω /5 W), is readily evident. When the load is active, the base of T1 lies practically at ground level. Consequently, T1 conducts and allows one of the LEDs to be illuminated. Circuit Diagram : Voltage Tester for Model Batteries Circuit Diagram The thoroughly familiar voltmeter circuit, whi...

Simple 4 Transistor Amplifier for Small Speakers

The circuit above shows a 4-transistor utility amplifier suitable for a variety of projects including receivers, intercoms, microphones, telephone pick-up coils, and general audio monitoring. The amplifier has a power isolation circuit and bandwidth limiting to reduce oscillations and "motorboating". The values are not particularly critical and modest deviations from the indicated values will not significantly degrade the performance. Three cell battery packs giving about 4.5 volts are recommended for most transformerless audio amplifiers driving small 8 ohm speakers. The battery life will be considerably longer than a 9 volt rectangular battery and the cell resistance will remain lower over the life of the battery resulting in less distortion and stability problems. 4 Transistor Amplifier for Small Speakers Circuit Diagram  The amplifier may be modified to work with a 9 volt battery if desired by moving the output transistors' bias point. Lowering the 33k resistor conne...

New The Circles A Gorgeous Round Icon Theme for iPhone iPad

There is a whole lot of themes available for the iPhone and iPad on the Cydia repository. Unfortunately most of them are actually darn ugly – like really ugly. I don’t know what people are thinking when they pay for these awful themes. As always though, there is one or two which deserve a lot of attention due to the amount of time, effort and craftsmanship put into them. One of my all time favourite Cydia themes is TheCircles. However if you’re looking for a free theme which has pixel perfect icon designs, Circles is for you. Jackie Tran (only if his surname was Chan) from Prague, Czech Republic, has released what I personally think is the best free theme available for the iPhone and iPad. It’s perfectly made for both the iPhone and iPad retina displays with the iPhone icons in the size of 114×114 and the iPad icons in the size of 144×144. The amount of detail put into each icon is really incredible – even the shadows behind the icons are adjusted to make it look like they’re floating ...

Audio Power Amplifier for AM Radio Circuit Diagram

This is an AM radio power amplifier circuit. What is different with other general amplifier is that this circuit has a low-pass filter (passive type), built using R1C1 to limit the input-output frequency response. Additionally, a ferroxcube K5-001-001/3B with 3 turns of wire is used as ferrite bead  at output filter. All components should be spaced very close to  the IC.  The ground and speaker lead must be twisted tightly. The supply lead and supply ground also must be twisted very tightly. Here is the schematic diagram of the  circuit.  Audio Power Amplifier for AM Radio Circuit Diagram

Power Indicator for the Water Softener

This power indicator circuit is intended to be used as an extension for the water softener. It might be easier to just place a LED but it is better to make a rectifier that detects the presence of the 15 kHz signal generated by the 555 IC. Water Softener Power Indicator Schematic The rectifier is connected at the water softener system with C4 capacitor. D1 and D2 diodes are used to obtain a DC voltage that is filtered by C5 capacitor. This voltage turns ON the FET that lights up the LED. When there is no signal from the oscillator the LED will not glow. D1 and D2 = 1N4148. NE555 datasheet

Monitor for 6V 12V Batteries

Rechargeable batteries of 6V and 12V are used in a large number of applications. It is imperative that these are maintained properly to get maximum life out of them. Further, their permissible number of charge-discharge cycles must be fully utilised. Here is a circuit that gives a visual as well as an audible alarm if the battery voltage is higher or lower than acceptable limits, so that corrective action can be taken. Circuit and working As shown in Fig. 1, the circuit is built around dual-operational amplifier LM358 (IC1), hex inverting Schmitt trigger 74HC14 (IC2) and a few other components. The circuit can be divided into two parts—the input unit built around two operational amplifiers (op amps) in IC1 working as comparators, and audio alarm unit built around two RC oscillators and a transistor. Voltage from the battery under test (BUT) is applied to connector CON1. It is divided by five by R1 and R2 for comparison with the threshold levels. the power supply of the circuit is limit...
