High Current Step Up Converter Using MAX641

High Current Step-Up Converter Using MAX641 integrated circuit, manufactured by Maxim IC, can be designed a very simple step-up converter using few electronic components. This step-up high voltage converter electronic projects allows a maximum output current up to 1A. High Current Step-Up Converter Circuit Diagram Low battery voltage detector input compare LB1 with internal reference of 1.31 V. LBO output goes in low state when the voltage at pin 1 falls below 1.31 V. The threshold voltage for "low battery", is determined by voltage divider R1-R2. LED D1 illuminates the LBO output when the input voltage falls below 2.62 V. Input voltage must remain below 5 V. The maximum effectiveness is 80% conversion.

Simple Line Current Detector Circuit Diagram

This is a simple Line Current Detector Circuit Diagram . This circuit will detect line currents of about 250 mA or more without making any electrical connections to the line.Detection of line-current flow and indicating the flow to an electrically remote point is required in line status monitoring at a variety of points in the Telephone system and auxiliary systems. The line should be minimally unbalanced or loaded by the monitor circuit, and relatively high levels of 60-Hz induced voltages must be ignored.   Simple Line Current Detector Circuit Diagram The H ll A Al allows line currents of either polarity to be sensed without discrimination and will ignore noise up to approximately 2.5 mA. In applications where greater noise immunity or polarity- sensitive line-current detection is required, the HllAlO threshold coupler can be used. This phototransistor coupler is specified to provide a minimum 10% current transfer ratio at a defined input current, while leaking less than 50 ...

Loudspeaker Protector Monitors Current

This circuit uses a 0.1O 1W resistor connected in series with the output of a power amplifier. When the amplifier is delivering 100W into an 8O load, the resistor will be dissipating 1.25W. The resulting temperature rise is sensed by a thermistor which is thermally bonded to the resistor. The thermistor is connected in series with a resistor string which is monitored by the non-inverting (+) inputs of four comparators in an LM339 quad comparator. All of the comparator inverting inputs are connected to an adjustable threshold voltage provided by trimpot VR1. As the thermistor heats up, its resistance increases, raising the voltage along the resistor ladder. Circuit diagram: Loudspeaker Protector Circuit Diagram When the voltage on the non-inverting input of each comparator exceeds the voltage at its inverting input, the output switches high and illuminates the relevant LED. NOR gate latches are connected to the outputs of the third and fourth comparators. When the third comparator switc...

Ni Cd and Ni MH Adjustable constant current Circuit Diagram

This is a battery charger circuit with adjustable current for Ni- MH or Ni -Cd . It can be used for a constant current power , which can be set to any value from a few milliamps to about 500 mA . The maximum current is 500 mA , because that is the limit of transistor BC140 . The input voltage must be above 5.25V output voltage , this is due to losses as 1.25V current limit and approximately 4V regulator .  Battery Charger Ni-Cd and Ni-MH Adjustable constant current Circuit Diagram     The LM317 regulator is used , it should have a sink . Solar Panel Current Meter Circuit Diagram

This circuit is used to measure the current from a solar panel. It has very low power loss for currents in the 0-10A range. It also works as a general purpose DC current meter. The circuit can be used on either the positive or negative side of a DC circuit. Solar Panel Current Meter Circuit Diagram Specifications Measured Current: 0-10 Amps DC, can be increased by changing the resistors. Circuit Voltage: Will work with DC circuits at any practical voltage. Accuracy: approximately 2% with a high quality meter movement. Theory The current to be measured flows through the 0.01 ohm resistor, this causes a small voltage drop across the resistor. 10 amps of current will produce a 100mV voltage across the resistor. The 100 microamp meter is wired in series with a 50 ohm fixed resistor and a 500 ohm variable calibration resistor so that it can measure the voltage drop. The 500 ohm variable resistor is used to adjust the meter's full scale reading. The 50 ohm resistor limits the maximum cur...
